In creating Go Grow we wanted a space that was built by ethics and humane values. We strive to teach our next generation the importance of preserving the planet, giving back and shopping locally to help eachother grow.

Sustainability
Our mission is to create Go Grow to better the generations to come. At the forefront of our cause is ensuring that we leave a minimal footprint on our planet. The timber of our playscape comes from regulated sources based in England working to replant each source used in the build of these structures. The fabrics found in each piece at Go Grow are REACH compliant, phthalate free, vegan, anti-microbial and the PVC used in them can be stripped away to be reused. Day to day, each cleaning product used is eco-friendly and we strive to minimize one-use plastic in our business. We immediately switched to LED lighting and strive to better our business for the planet, everyday.

Supporting Small Businesses
In sourcing all facets of Go Grow, we worked with small businesses first. Our reception desk was handmade right here in Michigan! Our furniture is handcrafted in Italy through a family owned business. In sourcing every part at Go Grow, we bought the highest quality and we made sure to buy from individual sellers or small businesses for everything from the changing tables to supporting independent artists for our wall art.

Ethical Manufacturing
Go Grow wants children all over the world to succeed so we did in-depth research on who was actually creating the products going into our space. We specifically sought out companies that adhere to international Fair Trade guidelines and labor practices, and are verified or certified by a third party such as the World Fair Trade Organization, Fair Trade Federation or Fair Trade Certified. Our furniture and playscape were made by small businesses that operate within the highest standards within Europe and no facet of Go Grow involved the exploitation or labor of children.

Research & Data
We’ve consulted experts with over 50 combined years in early childhood education, pediatric occupational therapy and medicine to create spaces that cater to needs of parents and children. We use research to create support for parents and opportunities for growth for their children. Our belief is to have data guide every component of our facility, from the playscape to the nursing room, research is the foundation of our play.

Parents First
Go Grow is a small business 100% owned by parents for parents. We serve as a place for parents to unwind, get work done or relax while their children play nearby. Our space was founded by working parents of toddlers, looking for a space for them to get all their wiggles out while we relaxed or finished some work. It takes a village to raise children and we’re here to serve as that support for parents.
